Too Young to Retire!
What's Next?
Good question -- one that increasing numbers of people 50 and better are asking themselves.  The good news is there is a Next.  If you are ready to retire from a career, what's next could be a span of years equal to your entire working life.  That’s way too much time to fill with 24/7 leisure. And way too much time to approach without preparation.  That's where the Too Young to Retire course comes in.

Based on Too Young to Retire: 101 Ways to Start the Rest of Your Life, and led by Cynthia Hallanger, a certified Too Young to Retire facilitator, the course addresses key issues necessary for a healthier and happier transition to the next chapter.
  • The Aging and Retirement Mindset: Embracing the realities of the Longevity Revolution.
  • Money: The unresolved issues that could be getting in the way.
  • Wellness: Transitioning with extreme vitality.
  • Work: Reworking work: how much, when, where.
  • 101 Cool Business Ideas to Spark Your Imagination.
  • Volunteering: The value of community service.
  • Leisure: Getting the balance right.
The Process:
Small groups, ideally 8 to 12, gather for 90 minutes weekly for 6 consecutive weeks. Fully engaged with the content and exercises, the core dynamic is dialog. With the Conversation Café method, each participant expresses and listens generously as provocative questions are introduced by the facilitator. The conversation evolves organically where community support, authenticity, clarity, momentum and actions take place from a desire to create a fulfilling next chapter.

Between sessions and working with a buddy from the group, participants have fieldwork assignments to deepen the learning experience and accomplish action steps along the way.

Your Outcomes:
The process moves participants:
  • To think differently and creatively about their next phase of life.
  • To explore what is meaningful in the next stage of life.
  • To move confidently toward their “bonus years” with more vitality, spirit, and a renewed sense of purpose.
  • To clarify intentions and priorities leading to the start of a balanced life plan.
  • To take responsibility and action steps to create the life they want.
  • To support others in the group to succeed.
